The course gives an introduction to the commercial audio-visual industry from archive to exploitation and is designed for anyone, from anywhere in the world, who needs to know more about the footage industry – image archivists, footage researchers, production managers, producers, directors, archive librarians and anyone wanting to know about this industry – whatever your media background, this is a wonderful opportunity to expand your knowledge and appreciation of the world of footage archives, their systems and uses.

Day 2 takes delegates out of town to experience restoration processes in action at Pinewood Studios and then it is back to the fast turnaround world of media management and newsroom workflow at Sky News. Day 3 covers metadata, cataloguing and clip sales at AP Archive and Getty Images.
